Take it Easy on the Zambezi

From the roaring splendor of Victoria Falls to safari sunrises and close encounters of the wildlife kind, Zimbabwe is an ideal destination. Hike through luscious forests to get glimpses of the biggest curtain of water in the world, canoe down mighty rivers for rendezvous with elephants, and walk in spectacular solitude while enjoying large concentrations of big game.

Take a sunset boat cruise down the Zambezi River in the ancient footsteps of the famous David Livingstone, and experience one of the great natural wonders of the world. Known as ‘smoke that thunders’ by the indigenous tribes, Victoria Falls is remarkable and majestic. There will hardly be enough time to bungee jump, take helicopter rides, horseback ride, go white water rafting, visit the lion sanctuary, take private picnics to nearby islands, and swim at the edge of the falls, but one can dream and try!

Drift through the cool waters of the Zambezi on canoe, passing pods of hippos in Mana Pools National Park. One of the unique gifts of safaris in Zimbabwe is the ability to observe game on foot, in a canoe, from a vehicle, and even on mountain bike, and of course from the tranquil setting of your accommodations. Elephants never forget, and neither will you, after sharing magical moments with these imposing matriarchs. From the roaring splendor of Victoria Falls to safari sunrises and close encounters with wildlife, you will always remember the beauty of Zimbabwe.
