|East Africa is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on the planet - The Great Migration. Thousands of wildebeest throughout the year migrate between the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems timed to coincide with the pattern of rainfall and grass growth. Their migrations during the rainy and dry seasons can vary, but over many years, movements have created a general pattern. This predicted general pattern allows for mobile tented camp operations to set up seasonally and be at the right place at the right time.
||For the quintessential ‘Out of Africa’ experience, we recommend staying under canvas, in the bush, under the stars, and sundowners around the campfire. However, there are many permanent accommodations that offer a wide range of opportunities depending on the time of year. For Mara River crossings, Jul-Oct is the best, for calving season Dec-Mar is the best.
