|A bike trip by day, A wine tasting trip by night. A classic point-to-point bike trip designed to enjoy the landscapes of northwest Argentina, where a combination of desert landscapes and mountains draped in subtropical vegetation, mixes with high altitude wines, rich regional history and enduring traditions. The ride is such that you start and finish in the lovely colonial town of Salta. This challenging 6-day loop ride takes you past local farms at the lower part of the Oriental Andes, gauchos, small houses, giving you insight to a lifestyle that has changed little over the last hundred years.
||Geographically speaking you meander in and out of valleys, pine forests, sugar cane fields, up and down mountain passes - finally conquering the Cuesta del Obispo up to Piedra del Molino into the high dry desert region of the Calchaqui Valley. The final ride, a century ride (100km), takes us through some of the most stunning geology of the mystic Quebrada de las Conchas past vast tobacco plantations and finally on into Salta for a final night celebration.
